IRELAND SEES ITS HOTTEST DAY SINCE 2006
With the heatwave in full flow over Ireland this week it has seen its hottest day since 2006 with a temperatures of 30.8°C recorded at Met Eireanns weather station in Shannon
The highest temperatures recorded in 2006 was 31.0°C at Casement Aerodrome on July 19th
The highest temperatures recorded in 2017 was 28.6°C at Dublin (Phoenix Park) on June 21st. The highest temperatures recorded in 2016 30.4°C at Mount Dillon, Co Roscommon on Jul 19th.
Over the next two days temperatures could exceed 31°C in inland area of the west, southwest and midlands.
Temperatures will remain in the high twenties to low thirty's until Saturday. On Sunday temperatures will be in the high teens to mid twenties remaining warm across Ireland. At the start of next week temperatures will remain warm across Ireland but not as warm as this week with temperatures in the high teens to low twenties.

The next 7 days shows very little precipitation in the forecast so people and farmers should be aware of water levels running low with possible lowering of pressure and cut offs to water supply's over certain hours of the days with drought conditions possible.
