STORM BRONAGH NAMED TODAY BY MET EIREANN AND THE MET OFFICE AND WILL EFFECT THE UK AND SOUTHERN PARTS OF IRELAND
Met Eireann and the UK met office have officially named Storm Bronagh this morning. The area of low pressure is expected to deepening just of the southeastern coast of Ireland and will bring heavy rainfall over parts of Leinster and Munster with the risk of Spot flooding.

Storm Bronagh
A wave depression is expected to deepen, as it tracks close to the southeast coast of Ireland today. It will track up the east Irish Sea and into northern England later today and tonight. As a result the UK Met Office have named it Storm Bronagh.
Effects for Ireland
Heavy and possibly thundery rain will affect Ireland today and for a time tonight, with a rainfall warning in operation for parts of south and east Munster and South Leinster.

Over the weekend at present another disturbed storm could be named storm. Until the exact path is known of this system it will not be possible to tell where and when it will impact. Met Éireann and the UK Met Office are monitoring developments they have said today as warnings may be issued over the weekend for both rainfall and wind.
