Another very dry week ahead for Ireland with the good weather to last until next weekend

It been a brilliant week of weather across Ireland as high pressure build across the country giving some beautiful warm summer sunshine before we heading into Autumn.
Much of the country seen a fair share of sunshine this week giving every some end of summer vibes and a chance to top on the factor 50. It was also much welcomed weather for the hospitality sector which also seen a uptick in business over the last week.
Over the last week 99% of the country recorded under 0mm of rainfall with the only exception been Malin head in Donegal which seen 1.7mm of rainfall in the last 7 days which is also very low.
Air temperatures over the last week where above average for much of the country with some parts of the west and midlands around 3.5C above average. Malin head again trended -0.3 below average but south Donegal was around 2C above average the past week.
Over the coming week another rather dry period of weather is again expected at least up until Friday 3rd of September with under 1mm of rain. The week will also see near or slightly above average temperatures with highs of around 21C to 22C with the warmest weather this week across the west and midlands.
There where well above average sunshine amounts for much of Ireland 150 to 200% of average sunshine. Around coastal parts of the northwest there fog effected it most days but this week thankfully there will be less of a risk of fog there
Dry weather for much of the week at least until Friday
The week itself will see a lot of dry weather across the country some isolated showers do look possible this weekend but overall amounts will be low. See below the weekly rainfall amount chart below
There is some uncertainty as we head into next weekend but the latest outlook is for some isolated showers mainly across the eastern and southern half of the country with drier and sunnier weather across the west and north of the country. The outlook then is for a band of rain to move early the following week with a break down to more unsettle weather over the new week. As i said the weekend there is some uncertainty but the latest outlook if for the weather to stay on the Drier side.
