Check out this 10,500 Kilometer band of cloud over Ireland extending all the way to Mexico
Weather is a fascinating some times from big storms , to the science behind weather and on days like today when we look at the latest Satellite view showing a band of cloud over 10,500 kilometers long stretching the whole way to Mexico to Ireland and the UK.
When we look at this band of cloud and rain that stretches the whole way to Mexico to Ireland and the UK we will find it is why the weather is so unsettled here at the moment with this also the same route the jet stream is taken across the Atlantic and is one of the reasons its so unsettled here at present in Ireland.
The image below also shows the much milder air to the north of this band of cloud and warmer air to the south. The green looking hook over Ireland is due to the area of low pressure moving northwards up of the west and northwest of Ireland.
