Further wintry fall overnight Tuesday with icy conditions
Further wintry falls will effect the west, northwest and north of Ireland on Tuesday evening, night into Wednesday morning with showers of hail and sleet with some snow also possible mainly over higher ground areas.
Some wintry falls have been affecting areas this evening already with heavy hail as shown on the photo above on the N15 road between Bundoran and Sligo heading into Grange.

Air temperatures this evening have already started to drop in place with air temperature already between 1C to 3C in some places with low tonight of between -1C to 3C.
Dew point temperature are also between 0C to 2C in places across the west, northwest and north which would mean them showers turning increasingly wintry again.

The main risk tonight will be icy roads due to how wet some roads are and as soon as it gets dark this evening road temperatures will drop below 0C to 01C in some places with the risk of ice leading to slippery conditions.

On Wednesday morning milder air will move back across Ireland again with a rise in temperatures with any frost or ice clearing.
Wednesday will be a cloudy day across Ireland with some good dry weather but some light rain or drizzle also in places. A spell of heavier rain will develop across ulster on Wednesday morning move west to east across the provenance before clearing on Wednesday evening some of that rain will be heavy particularly across the northern half of Ulster. temperatures will range between 7C to 10C on Wednesday warm than previous days.
