PLUME OF SAHARAN DUST TO REACH IRELAND EARLY NEXT WEEK
Early next week a plume of Saharan dust will travel effect Ireland and the UK, The massive dust event is caused by a broad cutoff upper low over the Iberian peninsula and the western Mediterranean. In turn this moves the dust northwards.
This dust has made the 3,000 km trip to Ireland in strong southerly winds.

low levels of Saharan dust will be in the air on Monday but but Tuesday larger amounts of dust is forecast to effect Ireland shown in the charts below.

One way to see the Saharan dust is to check your car or any vehicle on Tuesday and the dust will be visible, sometimes this dust can get caught up in weather systems and fall within the rain.
