Thursday Thursday morning will start of cold with any frost and ice clearing but motorists will have to beware and on alert for icy stretches especially black ice which can be hard to spot so travel with care on all routes Thursday morning and never assume even when a road is gritted that the road is ice free as one shower can wash the grit from the treated surface and lead to ice forming.

Thursday will start of with bright and sunny spells with some showers across the coastal areas of the southwest, west and northwest some which could fall as hail.
