WASH OUT BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND ON THE WAY WITH HEAVY FALLS OF RAIN


The two last Bank Holiday weekends in Ireland where both dry. Over the Easter Bank holiday weekend the weather was glorious with nice sunny spells across the country for the whole weekend along with some nice warm temperatures.

During the may Bank Holiday weekend it was much the same nice dry weather the whole weekend but the difference was the temperatures which was much cooler due to a northerly airflow. Over that weekend to wee also seen temperatures at night as low as -3C.

This weekend the June Bank holiday weekend looks set to be a wash out with the best part of the weekend been early Saturday when it looks like with will be dry and bight with some sunny spells.

Below you can find the weekend forecast.

THURSDAY 30TH MAY 2019

Thursday will see a band of showery rain cross the country with some heavy falls in the west and north, Rain will clear parts of the south and southeast overnight with some clears spells. Showers will continue elsewhere. Temperatures will range between 16C to 19C.

FRIDAY 31ST MAY 2019

Further showery rain will move into the west, north and midlands on Friday morning with some heavy falls at times across the far west and northwest. Elsewhere it will remain dry everywhere else at least until the evening when a few showers may occur. Temperatures over the day will range between Temperatures will range between 16C to 19C

Clear weather will develop later in the evening and overnight from the west with good clear spells across the west and north overnight but generally more cloudy elsewhere.

SATURDAY 1ST MAY 2019

Saturday will start of with bight and sunny spells but by the mid day rain will spread into the south of Ireland and to all areas by the evening. Temperatures on Satuday will range between 15C to 18C

Overnight it may become dry for a time across the southeast and south of Ireland. With rain continuing elsewhere.

SUNDAY 2ND MAY 2019

On Sunday morning very heavy rain will move up from the southwest of Ireland with heavy falls across the southwest, west, northwest and north with the risk of spot flooding. some of this rain will be thundery with the risk of scattered thunderstorms. Rain will clear to the north after midday with showery weather following behind for the afternoon, evening and night.

OUTLOOK 28TH OF MAY ONWARDS

Much of next week also looks set to be unsettled with not much sign of any change to the forecast with temperatures around average or just below for the time of year.
