WEEKEND OUTLOOK - WARMER WEEKEND AHEAD WITH TEMPERATURES AS HIGH AS 20C
The weather this weekend is looking warmer again especially for areas in the west and north where temperatures look as the could reach as high as the high teens even 20C on Saturday. On Saturday it is also is looking like a nice sunny day so with sunshine and warmer temperatures the feel like temperatures will feel like its more in the low 20s at times.
The reason for the warmer temperatures and drier weather is due to high pressure sitting over the county over the week and weekend.

At present Sunday is looking like a wet day with a band of rain spreading in from the Atlantic on Sunday morning and gradually spreading to all areas by Sunday afternoon turning heavy at times over the west, northwest and southwest. This due to high pressure getting shifted eastwards and the Atlantic winning out. In the image below you can see that band of rain over Ireland on Sunday afternoon taken from the GFS model run this morning.
The ECMWF model also shows the same output for Sunday with a band of heavy rain moving in from the west over the morning hours of Sunday and spreading to all areas by the afternoon. Image of the latest ECMWF model attached below.
I will continue to update on the weekend over this week and keep you updated on Sundays forecast. But for now make the most of the week and Saturday which at present looks as it will be the best day of the weekend.
