WEATHER UPDATE - TEMPERATURES NOW IN THE LOW 20S ACROSS PARTS OF IRELAND WITH SUNSHINE NATIONWIDE
Temperatures across over some parts of Ireland today have risen into the low 20s with the warmest of these temperatures across the west, northwest, southwest and midlands where a top temperature at 4pm of 22°C has been recorded in Gurteen Tipperary, Newport Mayo & Shannon Clare.
The whole country today has been basking in sunshine in what has been the best day over Ireland this year yet sunshine wise. And over the rest of this week and weekend temperatures will remain in to low 20s and then into the mid 20s over the weekend and next week with risk of thunderstorms also becoming higher as warmer and humid air works it way in on Saturday.

Over most of Europe today it has been very warm and humid with temperatures into the mid to high 20s. Large areas of Europe has also seen very active thunderstorms today due to the very warm and humid air with severe storms shown in France, Germany, Italy and Belarus where large hail, flooding frequent lighting and tornadoes are possible.
