WARMEST DAY OF THE YEAR IN THE NORTHWEST OF IRELAND AND DONEGAL WARMER THAN PARTS OF SPAIN AND PORTUGAL
Today has been the warmest day of the year yet in the northwest of Ireland and Donegal with temperatures rising to a warm and humid 22C at 4:00pm at Met Eireanns weather station located in the south of the county at Finner camp between Ballyshannon and Bundoran. it was much cooler over the north of Donegal today due to the onshore breeze but much warmer than recent days with temperatures at Malin head weather station getting as high as 16C.
Temperatures at Claremorris weather station also rise to 22C today which is located in the county of Mayo.
Best of the sunshine today was over the west and northwest of Ireland with much more cloudy conditions over other part with sunshine been hazy but still warm with temperatures into the high teen.
Later tonight and over tomorrow cloud and rain will affect much of the southern half of Ireland with thundery outbreaks, but best of the sunshine again will be over the northwest and north where temperatures will be high possible reaching as high as 24C over the day.
