As this evening goes on cloud will continue to move in from the west and increase over the evening hours and tonight.

Some areas over night will hold of dry with some clear conditions but western areas of Connacht will start to see some light rainfall and drizzle as a weather front moves in from the Atlantic clearing eastwards over Tuesday morning.

Around 3am Tuesday morning a more heavy area of rain will move into Connacht, West Munster and West Ulster then to all areas by dawn. 

Rainfall totals of up to 5mm to 15mm can be expected with the highest amounts over Connacht and west Munster.

The weather system which is currently working its way in from the Atlantic will clear eastwards by 1:00pm Tuesday moving into the Irish sea towards the UK. This weather system will not linger and is fairly quick moving.  The weather system will clear Connacht, west Ulster and West Munster by 8am/9pm Tuesday morning.

Clear and brighter conditions will follow behind with a mixture of sunny spells and showers to some parts.
