Over the past 24hrs model are still mixing and matching for the weather over the week ahead and as I promised I said I would have another update this weekend of the outlook for next weeks weather.

MONDAY & TUESDAY

Monday and Tuesday are looking like two rather good days across Ireland with dry conditions and sunny spells. Over Monday afternoon some parts of the country will see some cloudy periods but sunny spells too. On Tuesday afternoon again after a sunny start cloud will develop again in some areas.

Wednesday

High pressure will remain in place on Wednesday across Ireland with a dry start and sunny spells but even with this high pressure in place a weather front does make it into the northwest and north after midday moving across the country over the afternoon before clearing to the east over the later evening and night. Rain could turn heavy for a short time over northwestern country as this front moves in around midday but amounts will be small across Ireland with some southern county possibly holding of dry.

THURSDAY

On Thursday it will start of dry across Connacht, Leinster, Munster and some parts of Ulster but around mid day a weak weather front will spread in from the north with showers spreading southwards over the afternoon. At present it looks like some bright or sunny spells will develop over the late afternoon again.

Even with Ireland under high pressure on Thursday a area of low pressure forms of the the north and northeast of the UK pushing weak weather fronts down from the north which can be seen on the model runs above and below.

Low pressure centered over the UK which will feed rain and showers into Ireland on Friday and Saturday.

FRIDAY

At present low pressure looks set to sit over England with high pressure been shifted just of the west coast of Ireland over the Atlantic with low pressure to the northeast and east of Ireland it looks set to feed weather fronts the northeast bringing light rain and showers over the day and into Saturday.

NEXT WEEKEND AND LONG TERM

For next weekend into the start of the following week as I mentioned on a update yesterday evening  there still is a lot of uncertainty in the forecast due to the ECMWF and GFS trying to push high pressure from the south and it will be at least mid week before this becomes clear as the above average heights and tropical depression in the tropical Atlantic is not helping to pain a clear picture.

I will update again at the start of next week on the outlook for over next weekend. You can keep a eye on the National forecast each morning if you need updates.
