A NICE DRY WEEKEND COMING UP WITH NICE SUNNY SPELLS ACROSS IRELAND
Over the weekend high pressure starts to build over over Scandinavia a blocking high which will have a big influence on the weather across Ireland and the UK this weekend and into next week. This weekend is looking mild but mostly dry before it turns colder next week.
SATURDAY 17TH NOVEMBER 2018
Saturday will be a cloudy day across Ireland with only a few brighter spells these will be short lived . There is the risk of a odd light shower in southeastern and southern coastal county’s over the day but over all cloudy and dry nearly everywhere. Temperatures will range between 9C to 14C. Clear weather will develop on Saturday night across the country with temperatures will ranging between 3C to 7C overnight. Winds will be southwest to east on Saturday and moderate.

Sunday will be the best of days this week across Ireland with nice sunshine nationwide across Ireland. Temperatures will be between 10C to 12C over the day but it will turn colder overnight across the country with frost developing as temperatures drop to around 2C with highs of 6C. Winds on Sunday will be easterly and moderate.

MONDAY 19TH NOVEMBER 2018
Monday will see nice sunny spells across Ireland these best along the western half of Ireland. A few showers may occur along the east coastal county’s over the day. Over the afternoon cloud will increase from the east and everywhere overnight. Temperatures will range between 8C to 11C. Winds on Monday will be easterly and moderate .
OUTLOOK
Over next week there will be the risk of frost at night with lows of around 0C to 2C in places. From Mid week on it will turn a little colder again across Ireland with the risk of showers mainly across the eastern half of Ireland, For the western half of Ireland there will be mostly dry all week but cold and the risk of frost on some nights. Over next week there is a risk it will turn colder and heading into the start of December to with temperatures dropping further, there may also be the risk of wintry falls of sleet and snow to both lower and higher ground. This is all down to a blocking high which as developed over Scandinavia. A split in the polar vortex also looks as it will take place which is down to warming in the stratosphere.
