POWER OUTAGES IN SOUTH DONEGAL AS STORMY WEATHER ARRIVES

A number homes in south Donegal have been stuck with power ouatges tonight in south Donegal as stormy conditions begin to increase across western and northwestern parts of Ireland. A number of home have also reported a very low supply of power with the power not full gone but appliances like tv not working and light becoming very dim.

The fault effecting the area is between Ballyshannon and Belleek and estimated to be restored on 07/12/2018 04:30

Areas effected include parts of Ballyshannon and surround areas and also around the Ballintra area in the south of the county.

Strong winds will increase from 1am onward when a Orange warning for wind comes into effect with winds peaking between 3am and 7am with the Orange warning ending at 8am this morning for Donegal and Mayo.

A yellow weather warning is also in place for Connacht, Kerry, Clare and Limerick with a yellow warning also in place for Derry and Antrim. The Yellow weather warning will remain in place until 12pm today with Donegal and Mayo coming under this warning also once the Orange warning has ended.
