BECOMING DRIER AND WARMER AT THE END OF THIS WEEK - DONEGAL INTERNATIONAL RALLY, SEA SESSIONS & ULSTER FINAL OUTLOOK
This weekend is a busy one in Donegal with a number of events taken places and with people due to flood in from all over Ireland and abroad one of the most important things is will the weather be on the good side.
This weekend the Donegal international Rally takes places in Donegal and dry weather is always important for a good weekend of road racing. Thousands will head to the northwest this weekend to watch the rally and to enjoy themselves. Anyone taken to the roads over the weekend please do drive with care and never drink and drive.
This weekend in the Seaside town of Bundoran the annual Sea Session festival takes places with many thousands heading to the beautiful sea side town to catch a glimpse of some of what Bundoran as to offer this weekend. As always dry weather always make a festival even better but what tops it of is sunshine.
And not forgetting the mighty Donegal GAA who go to clones Co. Monaghan this weekend to take on Cavan on Sunday with throw in at 2pm, Donegal will be going for a two in a row after a impressive win over Tyrone in the semi final. Cavan though will be no push overs where they had a impressive win over Armagh also in there semi final. As a Donegal man I hope the Anglo Celt cup heads back to the hill.
Below you will find the forecast for this weekend and the good news is it will be warmer, sunnier and drier as high pressure builds over the weekend but still the risk of a few showers around but noting that will do much harm.

FRIDAY 21ST JUNE 2019
Friday will see a mixture of sunny spells and showers, over the evening showers will die out with good clear weather developing for most over the evening and night. Temperatures on Friday will range between 15C to 18C.
SATURDAY 22ND AND SUNDAY 23RD JUNE 2019
At present the weekend is looking much better and more settled with a lot of sunshine around for most has high pressure moves in over Ireland and sits there for the weekend. There may be one or two isolated showers but these light in nature. Temperatures over the weekend will range between around 16C to 20C
OUTLOOK 22ND OF JUNE ONWARDS
Early next week there weather looks set to turn more unsettled again as the high pressure moves away with areas of low pressure moving up further heavy thundery showers across the country.

Conditions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday look good for the Donegal international rally with a lot of dry weather expected, There may be one or two showers on Saturday afternoon but these will really be hit or miss. Top temperatures over the weekend will rise to around 20C with the warmest of the temperatures looking likely to be in the northwest of Ireland. Winds will be light over the weekend with light southeast to easterly breezing which will allow the warmest temperatures across the west and northwest over Saturday and Sunday with the coolest temperatures over the weekend along the east due to a sea breeze. UV levels will be high so beware of the risk of sunburn over the weekend.
DONEGAL VS CAVAN ULSTER FINAL -GAA
Its a big weekend of football for the players, management and people of Donegal & Cavan with the 2019 Ulster Final taken place this Sunday 23rd of June in Clones, Throw in there is at 2pm. The forecast for the area on Sunday is for dry weather and sunny sky’s with temperatures around 16C to 18C at max. UV levels will be high so beware of the risk of sunburn if you are heading to the game.
SEA SESSIONS MUSIC FESTIVAL BUNDORAN DONEGAL
What a week it is in Donegal with this year Sea Session surf & music festival taken place in Donegals iconic seaside town Bundoran. The forecast for the weekend look fairly good to with plenty of sunshine in the forecast and temperatures of up to 18C to 20C on both Saturday and Sunday but a little cooler on Friday. At present the weekend looks set to stay dry which is good new for festival heads. UV levels will be high so beware of the risk of sunburn if you are heading to the festival.
