With warm weather across Ireland for over a week it seen people flock to the beaches across the northwest region to enjoy the sunshine over the weekend with many reports coming in of people parking on beaches and leaving there car thereto come back to find there car has been nearly submerged in water.

This has been a ongoing issue across Donegal and Sligo over the last few days and indeed the past view years.

A local county councilor in Sligo Cllr Marie Casserly has issued a appeal this evening to the public

Cars have also be submerged in water on Rossnowlagh beach, Donegal this weekend with incoming tide. This image was also snapped today

A caravan also had a close call on Portnablagh beach on Saturday also
