NEW YEARS EVE WEATHER - Mostly dry everywhere with spells of sunshine but possible frost overnight
2019 and the last day of the decade is set to end on a rather dry note with high pressure dominating the weather in Ireland and much of Europe.
New years eve day looks set to be a rather nice day with spells of Sunshine across Ireland with dry conditions for many areas but only the small risk of showers across the southwest and south coastal counties during the day.
Temperatures on the last day of the year will range between 6C to 10C not as warm as this weekend but still temperatures around average or just above in some places for December

For new years evening and night it look set to start of dry with some clear spells with the risk of some frost with temperatures as low as 1C possibly lower in some places first with highs of around 4C.
Later in the night (After Midnight) at present it looks like cloud will increase from the west extending eastwards over New Years day. Some patches of rain and drizzle may develop along Atlantic coastal counties in the southwest, west and northwest later in the night but precipitation amounts will be small.

New years day looks set to be mainly cloudy nationwide but later in the afternoon and evening some brighter and sunny spells may develop across the southern and eastern parts of Ireland.
Temperatures over the day will range between 7C to 11C abover average in many places.
Overnight looks set to see mild conditions with temperatures as high as 7C in places and lows of around 4C to 5C. Dry conditions look likely nationwide.
