With some light rain in places today and clear weather developing from the north over the evening temperatures will drop below 0C overnight and Friday morning.
Across the North, East and West it will be coldest with a frost developing and icy patches on roads.
Councils will be sending gritters out overnight in some counties but Donegal routes Donegal County Council have confirmed will not be gritted until 6am Friday morning
