Heavy showers of hail, sleet and snow have been hitting parts of the northwest tonight with falls of snow over higher parts of North Connacht and Ulster.
There is a light dusting of snow tonight on the Barnesmore gap Donegal with temporary accumulations and icy conditions possible on the route with temperatures below freezing.

There also has been snow accumulations on the Glenshane pass Derry with very poor conditions on the route.

Caution is advised on all routes tonight across Ireland especially across the Connacht and Ulster where some very icy conditions will occur on Thursday morning.
