Rain will clear to the southeast around dawn Monday morning with bright and sunny spells developing over the day but some cloudy around to. On Monday another area of high pressure will build across Ireland and the good news is this will stay in place over the whole week with the next weekend still unclear.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there will be good sunshine across Ireland around 15C to 20C.

FARMING

  • Monday to Friday will see good conditions for farmers with good opportunities for spraying.

  • With high pressure building in it looks like sunshine amounts will be generally good up until Friday 20th September

  • Rainfall amounts will be well below normal between Saturday and next Friday 20th September. Apart from rain later Saturday and Sunday rainfall amount will be very low. Rainfall amounts in the northwest and west Saturday into Sunday will range between 10mm to 20mm and around 2mm to 10mm elsewhere.

  • Temperature between Saturday and Friday 20th September will range between 15C to 20C around 1C to 2C above normal for the time of year.

  • Next week will see a lack of wind so drying conditions will not be great but sunshine will be good.

  • Farmer looking to do finally cuts and silage Monday to Friday will be good.

Current indications suggest next weekend there may be a break down in the high pressure with a more Atlantic influence on the weather with possible rain, details are still not clear on this with the possibility of high pressure staying in place next weekend.

I will have another update over the weekend.
