Temperatures hit 18C today in Ireland making it the warmest day of 2020
Today has been officially the warmest day of 2020 to date with temperatures now in the mid to high teens in parts of Ireland with the warmest areas been in the midlands, west and northwest where 18C has been recorded in many weather stations.
With the highest temperature of 18C so far today there still is the chance that 19C could be hit
Temperatures across the eastern half of Ireland are a lot cooler due to a onshore easterly breeze keeping temperatures lower there. The latest temperatures across Ireland can be seen on the chart below.
There has also been alot of sunny weather across Ireland today but the sunshine tending to be hazy due to light high level cloud around. With temperatures in the high teens and the sun shining the feel like temperature will make feel much warmer. Temperatures are also warm across large parts of Europe with temperatures across France, Italy, Belgium and Germany in the mid 20s something here in Ireland we would call a very warm summers day.
