This weekend is set to be a rather nice one for much of Ireland especially after early morning light drizzle clear the southwest, west and northwest on Friday morning with bright and sunny spells expected to developing over Friday afternoon across Ireland.

High pressure will to the south of Ireland from the Azores will ridge northwards towards Ireland and the UK this weekend bring rather nice weather for all areas.

Saturday

On Saturday bright and sunny spells are expected across much of Ireland with a rather nice pleasant day excepted. The day will be rather warm and humid with temperatures in the mid to low 20s warmest across Munster and Leinster.

Sunday

Sunday is set to be the warmest day this weekend and most likely the warmest day of 2021 to day with nice sunshine for much of Ireland however there is the risk a few heavy thundery showers will break out during the evening mostly due to the heat and some convection. UV level will be high to very high nationwide.

Some showers are likely in parts of the west, northwest and north overnight.

Monday & Tuesday

Monday again is looking like another dry day across Ireland with good bright and sunny spells with temperatures still in the mid teens to low 20s across Ireland

Tuesday is forecast to start of dry but cloud will increase from the west with heavy rain moving in from the Atlantic later in the morning spreading eastwards over the day. Some heavy falls look likely across the west and northwest on Tuesday with the risk of spot flooding.

WIND ALERT

The latest ECMWF mode indicates some gusty to strong winds on Tuesday into Wednesday so anyone with outdoor furniture should take note of this early warning incase you would have to tie thing down

The rest of next week is forecast to turn much cooler across Ireland with temperatures falling back into the low to mid teen. The week will see some good sunny spells but there will also be the risk of showers at time with the risk of a few thundery shower indicated for the end of next week but at this range that is uncertain.
