Warmest weather of the year so far expected this weekend with highs of 23C
This weekend will be the warmest weather of the year so far with a warm and mostly sunny weekend expected for much of Ireland. Temperatures this weekend will rise into the low 20s.
Some of the warmest parts of Ireland this weekend will be the west, northwest and midlands where highs of 23C are expected.
Across eastern and southern coastal counties it will be that bit cooler dur to a onshore breeze. Temperatures there will range between 16C to 18C.
Pollen forecast
Grass pollen will start this weekend and next week across Ireland with Moderate levels expected countrywide on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Grass pollen is the major outdoor trigger of hay fever and allergic asthma. Pollen grains contain a variety of allergens that can trigger allergic reactions in people who are sensitised to pollen.
The good news is, if pollen is a problem for you, there are things you can do to manage your exposure to it. By adopting some simple tips alongside preventative medications, you may find this hay fever season a little more manageable.

Sunday again will good sunshine with another warm day ahead with temperatures into the low 20s in places possibly reaching around 21C to 22C in places warmest across the northwest, west and midlands. Temperatures across the eastern and southern areas will be a little cooler due to a onshore breeze between 17C to 18C.

The latest outlook is for another bright and sunny day on Monday across Ireland but the sunshine maybe a little more hazy with some cloudier weather across parts of Connacht as a weather frone looks to move close to the west coast but the good news for now is that higher pressure will keep it out of the coast . Temperatures between 15C to 19C warmest in the east.

Tuesday is currently looking like a dry day with bright and sunny spells across Ireland. Temperatures will range between 15C to 21C.
WEDNESDAY 1ST JUNE 2021
An area of low pressure to the south of Ireland on Wednesday will bring the risk of some showers moving northwards over the day with some of these possibly forming into thunderstorms. It will be warmer especially across the northern half of Ireland with temperatures in the low 20s but cooler in the south with lows of 11C with temperatures falling as that low moves northwards
